General Rules!

No touching other cosplayers, their costumes, or their props without permission (duh!)

No game will have you touching another player character or NPC!

Follow the Captain's directions while participating in the show. They will guide or direct you through challenges as needed and where appropriate!

You will be instructed on the basics of game play and rules for the game you may be chosen to play in at the event.

Any props you have will be inspected though in general no game will require them, and for some games personal props may be used depending on the specifics of the game such as nerf dart guns or light sabers/maybe some other props

Which answers your question,

YES you can bring and use your own painted prop nerf dart guns, dart or string wrist launchers, and light sabers for specific games if chosen. Maybe your prop staff or sword can be used. Maybe.

Yes you are strongly encouraged to bring your own prop painted nerf gun if you wish.

Use of automatic firing guns will be limited, so bring a single-shot firing pistol or rifle as well!

No spring or distance modifications to your own gun props is allowed. Sorry, it's just a safety concern! Besides, you won't need it.

No tossing, dropping, or throwing guns or props on the floor, to exchange guns place one down and pick up the new gun (you can hold another gun under your arm, such as holding a pistol chicken wing style under your arm while you use a rifle)

No grabbing/ batting spider web strings/ zip lines (except with a light saber or prop sword/staff)

No contact to any person is allowed with a light saber or other prop of any kind.

No running or sprinting, fast walking is OK

Hiding, ducking, kneeling, crouching, crawling are OK

Buildings are to be used as cover and may also hide power ups such as extra lives, ammo, or guns.

No kicking buildings, using your arms and hands to move or smack them is OK

No human shielding targets (ie. Dont stand in front of special target buildings, props, or other players to shield them from another player's attack)

No reusing spent ammo on the ground (unless otherwise told so)!

Conserve your shots, aim, and find ammo when you need to!
"Aim Small, Be Small!"

You have 1 life for any game unless otherwise instructed otherwise or given an extra life to start.

Games are often (but not always) divided with 3 vs 3 players and 3 more players for each team on the side (ie. 3 lives and a Continue for each team).

If you have an extra life and are hit you can stand or take knee for 10-30 seconds to use your extra life and jump back in the game.

Players are not allowed to camp or attempt to double tap a downed player or a player using their extra life.

No Head Shots. No foul play. Use common sense, we're all here to have FUN!

The Jedi Heroes to subdue the Villains will point their light saber at the Villain within a ~3-6 foot range and state a special phrase to arrest them “By Order of the Galactic Senate, You are Under Arrest!”

Jedis may use wrist dart or string launchers to “force capture” villains, drawing them into their reach to arrest them. A force captured player cannot fire or take action except to walk toward the other player.

Spider Men and Women will be also be using wrist worn string launchers and/or foam dart launchers for their games.

Players are allowed to have and bring their own wrist string and nerf dart launchers for game play if they wish!

Many Games will involve the use of Nerf Guns, which will be used in games involving Player on Players, Players vs NPC, and Players vs Objects (like balloons).

Familiarize yourself with the kinds and types of Nerf Guns and how they work, reloading, clearing jams, etc,

IF you can Incorporate Nerf Guns or otherwise fire Nerf Darts with your cosplay, we want you! Yes! Do it!

Buildings
Some buildings may be avoided, demolished or (re)built for the purposes of the game, or otherwise used as cover to avoid enemy darts.

Color coding on buildings may be used for various purposes, ie. Destroy only and all Green Buildings, or protect the Red building(s), and so on.

You will be instructed what you can and cant do with the buildings for any particular game, what color buildings you can knock over or must avoid or protect, the color of buildings possibly containing power ups, etc.

Buildings are to be used as cover and may also hide power ups such as extra lives, ammo, or guns.

No kicking buildings, using your arms and hands to move or to smack them over them is OK!

Powerups

Mushroom plushrooms and other items may grant instant death (minus one life) or plus one life or be used for other effects.

For some games the colors of Mushrooms may matter or they may not. You will be instructed what colors have what effect, and how to use any particular mushroom or other power up, if any, for any game

Touch Grass

Patches of Green Grass are safety zones. You may stand, crouch or take a knee when you enter and while in this zone. You are immune to attacks in this zone.
